Post-Classical Music

The term post-classical defines a genre of compositions — predominantly for acoustic or felt piano — that bridges the formal clarity of the classical era, the emotional intensity of romanticism, and the structural essentialism of modernity.

Instead of placing the listener in a vast concert hall, this music creates a sense of intimate closeness. Through close-miking techniques that capture the subtle mechanical sounds of the hammers against the strings, the listener feels as though they are sitting inside the instrument itself.

This acoustic intimacy is often paired with subtle sound design in post-production, weaving in light electronic textures, reverse elements, and ambient soundscapes.

It is a language that honors the rich heritage of past musical traditions while rendering them entirely contemporary through modern harmonic colors and textures.
